uProduct Description

IPLOOK XGW include SGW and PGW. Both of these two elements can be deployed as virtualized elements. While the MME takes charge of the function of signaling plane, the user plane data forwarding is taken over by XGW. The PGW provides connectivity between the UE and external packet data networks. It provides the entry and exit point of traffic for the UE. A UE may have simultaneous connectivity with more than one PGW to access multiple Packet DataNetworks. The SGW and PGW functions could be realized as a single network element.

Rx

The Rx interface is between the PCRF and AF. Then PGW support  local PCRF function.

S5/8

The S5/8 interface provides user planes tunneling and tunnel management between SGW and PGW. The SGW and PGW may be realized as a single network element in which case the S5 interface in not exposed.

Gx

The Gx interface is between the PCRF and PGW, allowing the PCRF direct control over the policy enforcement functions of the PGW.

Gy

The Gy interface is between the OCS and PGW, realizing online billing function.

Ga

The Ga interface is between the CG and PGW, realizing offline billing function.

Gn

The Gn interface is between the SGSN and PGW. Then PGW supports GGSN function.

SGi

The SGI interface is between the PGW and extern Packet Data Networks.

S5 connects the visited SGW and home PGW , when the users are roaming; S8 connects the local SGW and local PGW
